Lorraine Artigues Lacoste

Thursday, March 24, 2016. She was 90 years

old. Better known as “NeNie” she especially

enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time

with her family. She was the beloved wife for

43 years to the late Lloyd A. Lacoste. Loving

mother of Kathleen L. Gervais (Ronald), and

the late Craig Jude Lacoste. Grandmother of

Marc C. Gervais (Courtney), Chad T. Gervais,

Bret N. Gervais (fiancé, Ashley Iserman), Kyle

B. Gervais (fiancé, Ashley Greening), and

twins, Amie Elizabeth – Jude Gervais and

Abby Elizabeth – Jude Gervais (fiancé, Patrick

Walker). Great grandmother of Kamryn K.

Gervais, Mia C. Gervais, and Kaiden K.

Gervais. Sister of A nne Petruccelli, and the

late Audrey Bauer, A nita Young, and Beverly

Artigues. Daughter of the late Louis and

Pauline Bendish Artigues. She is also survived

by numerous nieces and nephews.

Lorraine retired from Washington National

Insurance Company in 1985. Prior to that she

taught first grade at St. Louise DeMarillac

School (former St. John Vianney). She was a

parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic

Church.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the

Memorial Service at Lake Lawn Metairie

Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in

New Orleans, on Monday, April 4, at 11:00

am. Interment will follow at St. Bernard

Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum. A

visitation will be held at the funeral home

beginning at 9:30.
