Mamie Ann Luke Simone passed away at the age of 92 on March 7, 2022. She was born on April 9, 1929 in New Orleans to the late Josephine Najiola Luke and John Luke. She married the love of her life, Frank Simone, on July 24th, 1949. She and Frank were true lovebirds. She was a dedicated mother and adored her two children, Linda and Frank, along with daughter-in-law, Anne and son-in-law, Charlie. She took countless trips to places all around the world with her family and friends including Italy, France, Greece, Alaska, China, Russia, Iceland, Istanbul and Argentina, just to name a few, and she believed that travel was one of the best investments you can make. She was always ready for a new adventure and embraced life to the fullest. She was eternally curious, which fueled her love of reading and learning new things. She never stopped and always wanted more out of life. She stayed active playing golf, snow skiing, fishing in Cocodrie, working in her garden, growing orchids, cooking and going to the casino. She loved spending time with her family and she was overly proud of her two grandchildren who love her tremendously and she enjoyed spoiling her four great grandchildren. She was the center of her family and will be deeply missed.
