

Marian Rita Landry Levesque lived a wonderful life and left peacefully in her sleep at the age of 91. Marian is survived by her son, Craig Joseph Levesque and daughter-in-law Linda M. Levesque. She was the beloved grandmother (Gam) to her two grandchildren Wesley J. Levesque and Amanda Levesque Parsons (Grat); and three great granddaughters Savannah Ryan Parsons, Whitney Blake Parsons, and Ella Gray Parsons. She is also survived by her sister Carolyn Landry (Denise Authement). her sisters-in-law Joyce P. Landry and Patricia W. Landry along with many loving nieces and nephews, cousins, and longtime friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Albert Levesque III, her parents, Lawrence Landry, Sr. and Cora Albert, and sister Catherine “Joyce” Gieseler, brothers Ivan “Larry” J. Fourreaux, Lawrence “Sonny” Landry, Jr., Elroy C. Landry, and brothers-in-law Leo L. Levesque and Charles A. Gieseler, sister-in-law Emelda H. Fourreaux, nephew Charles J. Gieseler and niece Marian L. Henderson as well as numerous other loving family and friends.
Marian was a retired business woman in the electrical service industry starting in the accounting office and advancing to Vice President of A&H Armature Works, Inc. of Westwego, Louisiana.
Marian was a passionate storyteller of her own life and family history reminiscing of the good times.She was an incredible person inside and out and will always be remembered and known as a compassionate, kind, generous, bright light and graceful lady.
She loved to dance, dress up, party, Mardi Gras parades, and follow her beloved New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. She lived an incredible full life.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans, Louisiana, Friday, August 25, 2023 from 12pm until 2pm. The memorial mass will be held in the chapel at 2pm. Internment to follow in Lake Lawn Park.
