Marie “Ree” Rose Phillip Hogh, 75, gained her wings on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Tulane Medical Center. She was born in New Orleans, LA on November 3, 1945, raised in Waggaman, and attended West Jefferson High School. After graduating in 1965, she married the late and beloved Allen A. Hogh. Together, they lived in Terrytown until returning to her hometown of Waggaman to retire. Beloved daughter of the late of Victor J. Phillip and Theresa Gambino Phillip, and sibling to her late sisters Pauline “Lennie” Lynch, Theresa “Tee Dee” Phillip, and Margaret “Maggie” Hunter. She survived by her only two brothers, Victor “Buddy” Phillip, Sr. and Paul A. Phillip, her sister-in-law Marie Hogh Smith, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was employed by the FBI and later Phillip Bros. Truck Service, Inc. Afterwards, she managed and owned several rental properties within and surrounding her hometown. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home Chapel, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd (in Metairie Cemetery) on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 2:00 P.M Visitation will begin at 10:30 until service time. Interment will take place in Metairie Cemetery.
