Marilyn Rogers Faroldi, age 70, passed away at her home in Metairie on Thursday, August 22, 2024. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Faroldi Kogos (Paul); her grandchildren, Caroline and Eleanor Kogos; her sister, Erin Rogers Soto; and her nephew, Ryck H. Soto, II. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marilyn Ann Rogers.
Marilyn was born in New Orleans on August 30, 1953. She graduated from Grace King High School and attended classes at UNO and Delgado. She worked as a casino dealer with Boomtown Casino for over fifteen years. She also worked at Treasure Chest Casino prior to Boomtown.
Marilyn loved all things New Orleans, including its music, food, and people. She attended the first Jazz Festival and almost all of them thereafter. Most of all, she was a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 4317 Richland Ave. in Metairie, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 12:00PM. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 11:00AM. The interment will follow the Mass at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
