Marilyn Messina Jaume, was born in New Orleans on October 20, 1938 and died at her home in Metairie on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at the age of 85. Marilyn was the beloved wife for 59 years to the late Charles Arthur Jaume Jr.; loving mother of Steven Charles Jaume (Molly), Jeffrey Arthur Jaume (Lusy), and the late Allyson Elizabeth Jaume; sister of Vincent Messina, Jr. and the late Jacqueline Messina Peltier; and daughter of the late Vincent Messina and Georgia Henry Messina. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Marilyn was a parishioner for 50 years at Our Lady of Divine Providence in Metairie. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending quality time with her family and her friends “the dinner bells”. Her favorite hobbies included needle point and crochet.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., in New Orleans, on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM until service time. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum
