Mary Giuffria Martin, age 72 years, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014. Beloved wife of William H. Martin for 43 years. Loving mother of William James Martin (Ruth) of Kenner, LA, Suzanne M. Bird (Brian) of Tucson, AZ, and Dr. Julie Martin Mitchell (Jason) of Austin, TX. Daughter of the late Joseph Giuffria and Marcelle Fecke Giuffria. Grandmother of Shelby and Austin Bird, Reid Martin, and Caitlin and Aubrey Mitchell.
Mrs. Martin was a wonderful and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Dominican College in New Orleans and taught at St. Angela Merici Catholic School in Metairie.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on at 10:00am.
