Mary Rita Smith passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 86 years of age. She worked as a physical education teacher and enjoyed cooking, traveling and reading. She is survived by her spouse, Marianne Westbrook.
A visitation for Mary Rita will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124. The interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park.
