Mary Sanders

Mary Sanders passed away at her Metairie home on March 12, 2025, at the age of 74. She was born on August 1, 1950, in Los Angeles, California, and worked as a registered nurse with the Veteran’s Hospital until her retirement. After retirement from the VA Hospital, she was a home health nurse and part time instructor at the International Institute for Healthcare professionals in Boca Raton. She moved to Louisiana in 2017. In her free time, she loved to read and care for animals, who were dear to her heart.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ronald Sanders; daughter, Ronda Sanders, son, Ronald Sanders; and grandchildren, Ronnie, Michael, Sage, and Sophie Sanders.

Mary will be laid to rest privately in Lake Lawn Park.
