Melverna “Merne” Eiermann Jaeger passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, age 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Albert “Al” H. Jaeger, Jr. Mother of Arlene J. Kingsmill (Bob), Bonnie J. Arguelles, and Gail J. Jacobs (Bruce). Grandmother of Kelly Kingsmill and Ronald J. Arguelles (Mechalle). Also survived by three great grandchildren.
Merne and Al were childhood sweethearts, and enjoyed 68 years of marriage prior to his passing November 15, 2013. She will always be remembered for her endless love and devotion to her family.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Erika and Frances, for lovingly caring for Merne until her passing.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 am.
