Meryl Hogh passed away on May 20, 2022 at the age of 88. Born in Thibodaux, LA. She grew up in the Carrollton area of New Orleans. After marriage, she and her husband Joseph R (Joe) Hogh Jr moved to Airline Park Subdivision in Metairie, LA.
Meryl was a graduate of Eleanor Mc Main High School. After 18 plus years as a devoted mother and homemaker, Meryl returned to the work force as an administrative assistant with Comeaux Furniture
As a devout Catholic, Meryl attended mass at St Clement of Rome daily.
Meryl was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. (Joe) Hogh, Jr.; daughter, Charlotte Hogh; brother, Monroe L. Falterman, Jr.; and sister, Barbara F. Deno.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Hogh Ghrist (Bill); sons, Joseph R. “Joey” Hogh III, and Glen J. Hogh; and grandchildren, William and Charlotte Ghrist.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass officiated by Fr. Luis Rodriguez, at St. Clement of Rome, 4317 Richland Ave Metairie, on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 1PM. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am. The mass will follow at 1:00 pm. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
