Nancy Koodish Kohlmeyer died at Poydras Home on May 29, 2018 of ALZ after a very lengthy illness. Born on May 31, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated from Smith College and has been a resident of New Orleans since 1956. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Nancy was the wife of Herman S. Kohlmeyer, Jr. for the past 61 years. Daughter of the late Maurice and Sadie Lebow Koodish. Mother of Susan Kohlmeyer Morrall (Andrew) of Larchmont, NY, Eleanor Kohlmeyer Lane (Merritt) of New Orleans, La., Emily Kohlmeyer Birenbaum (Steven) of Berkeley, California and Charles Kohlmeyer III (Heather) of New Orleans, La. Grandmother of Rachel Eleanor Morrall, Imogen Alice Morrall, Caroline Emily Lane, Sarah Eleanor Lane, Isabel Susan Lane, Naomi Sarah Birenbaum, Rebecca Lily Birenbaum, Sadie Lee Kohlmeyer, Sasha Koodish Kohlmeyer.
Memorial services will take place at Temple Sinai, 6227 St. Charles Ave. on Thursday May 31, 2018 at 11:30am with Rabbi Edward Paul Cohn officiating. Private interment in Metairie Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 10:30am until time of service. Kindly omit flowers.
