Nolan Louis Materne, 69, passed away in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 12, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Virginia Materne. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sandra Bartholomew Materne; daughter, Amy Hebert; son, Andy Battistella (Jessica); Kristy Battistella (Edwin); grandchildren, Michael Barcia, Madison Kivell, Collin Battistella, Stonewall Kivell, Kannon Kivell and Maddox Battistella. Nolan loved fishing, yearly trips to Disney World, the local news, LSU and the Saints. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans. Interment will follow at Metairie Cemetery.
