

Nolan Ryan Williams, 33, of Gretna, passed on September 1, 2018 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Barataria Blvd. in Marrero. He was born August 29, 1985 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Randy and Kimberly (Christensen) Williams. He moved to Covington with his mother and stepfather, Gary L Clark and attended Covington schools and graduated from Fontainebleau High School in 2003 where he met his lifelong friend Howard Lavin. He later relocated to Raleigh, NC with his parents and attended the North Carolina State University where he graduated Cum Laude in 2011. Immediately following graduation he began his career as an intern with the North Carolina State Treasurer’s Office.
After completing his Internship he relocated “home” to Louisiana and joined the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office where he has been employed in the IT Department the past 5 years. Nolan’s warm disposition and kind heart will be forever remembered by those his short life touched.
Nolan is survived by his parents Gary and Kim Clark of Fountain Hills, AZ and his biological father Randy Williams of Omaha, NE; his brother Jordan Williams of Omaha, his sister Ashlee Baumy of Mandeville, Brother-in-Law Walter Buamy III, nephew Keegan Baumy, and his step sister Cassie Clark of Des Moines, IA. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Ron and Ann Christensen of Omaha, his best friend Howard Lavin, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Neil and Marge Williams, and Aunt Jade Christensen of Buford, GA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Gathering at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Flowers are welcome.
