Olga Hendry Weilbaecher died on July 29, 2021 at St. Oaks Nursing Home in Picayune, MS at 97 years old. Born December 29, 1923, Olga is the daughter of Elmer F. Hendry and Jewel Anderson Hendry. She was the eldest of 11, 5 of who survives her.
Born in Laurel, MS, she dreamed from an early age to come to New Orleans. She made New Orleans her home, met and married, having one daughter, Karen Hendry Clary and one grandson, David Reed Clary. After a long relationship, she married the love of her life, Clifford A. Weilbaecher of New Orleans who predeceased her in 1992.
She retired after being with Halter Marine Services for 25 years and enjoyed renovating her home, gardening, art classes and studying to be a tour guide. Olga was gifted and will be remembered for her natural beauty, quick wit, determination and love of life and family. She was a woman ahead of her time and will always be remembered as making a difference in all aspects of her life. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
