Pamela Kytle Mancuso went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. A lifelong resident of the New Orleans area, Pamela was a proud graduate of East Jefferson High School and Dominican College. Pamela was a forty plus year educator, including nine years at Archbishop Rummel High School, a sixteen-year career as principal of First Baptist Christian School, and the last fifteen years of her career teaching special education in Jefferson Parish Public Schools. She was a true follower of Christ and spent her entire life active in the church. From Sunday School teacher to being part of the “Bus Ministry” at FBCK, Pamela always put others first. During her years at Archbishop Rummel and at FBCS, Ms. Pam was well known as the teacher who would stop everything to pray for anyone and everyone. She truly felt blessed just to be a part of her students’ and their parents’ lives and wanted to help in any way that she could. The same went for her students at JPPSS.
She is survived by her sons, John J. Mancuso Jr. and Brad Mancuso (Chrystan); grandchildren, Ava, Kate, and Colin; sister, Linda Kytle; brothers, Jimmy Kytle and John Kytle. She is preceded in death by her husband, John J. Mancuso Sr. A Celebration of Life for Pamela will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Lake Lawn Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will begin at 9:00AM followed by a service at 11:00AM. The family invites you to share fond memories and condolences online at www.lakelawnmetairie.com.
