A graduate of Mount Carmel Academy and Loyola University, Pat worked for years as a dental hygienist before moving into a career in dental sales.
Patricia Garland was preceded in death by her father, longtime New Orleans educator E. J. Garland and her mother Arthemise Garland. She is survived by her sister Judy Garland Mackel and nephews Fletcher Mackel and Travers Mackel (Meghan).
A private ceremony was held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, and she was laid to rest in Metairie Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to Chateau Du Norte Dame assisted living community.
While Pat enthusiastically liked her hometown of New Orleans and all the extravagances the city provided, what she truly loved was her immediate family, her little sister Judy and nephews Fletcher and Travers.
