Patricia Ann Schwartz

Our dear mother, Patricia Schwartz, peacefully passed away on December 30, 2024, surrounded by her family at the age of 86. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. A friend to many, she was a cherished member of our community leaving behind a legacy of grace and strength.

Patricia was born January 21, 1938 in Houston, Texas to Dora Bell Robertson and Drue Mitton Cumbaa. Patricia was a proud stay-at-home mother during her children's early years, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to her family. Later in life, she pursued a successful career as an award-winning real estate agent in the New Orleans area, where she thrived for many years, achieving millions in sales and the respect of her colleagues. Her commitment to her family and her profession showcased her nurturing spirit and dedication.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jimmy Cumbaa. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Wilfred Schwartz; her daughters, Patrice Schwartz and Ashley Klotz (John); her son, Brett Schwartz (Lori); and her sister and brothers, Elizabeth Glass, Bobby Cumbaa, and Harry Cumbaa. She is also survived by her grandchildren who she loved more than anything in the world, Alyssa Barrett Scott, Kieffer Schwartz, Kyleigh Schwartz, Holton Klotz, and Peyton Klotz.

The family would like to give special thanks to Interim Hospice and Patricia’s wonderful caregivers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation before beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum, 5454 Pontchartrain Boulevard.
