Regino “Reggie” Militar, Jr. passed away on February 17, 2018 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Joyce Militar, son of the late Regino and Myrtle Gill Militar, father of Stephanie Milligan, grandfather of Megan Milligan and brother of Nina Collins (Robert). He is also survived by his nieces, nephew and cousin.
Reggie enlisted in The United States Army in May of 1954 and earned The National Defense Service Medal during his time of service. Reggie was a lifetime member of Lions International and the President of the Delta Lions. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting music, bird watching, going fishing, gardening and dancing. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 12 pm. Public visitation is from 10 am until service time followed by interment at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
