Ricardo Bishara Kawas passed away on February 16, 2016 in Las Cruces, NM. Born May 8, 1942 in La Ceiba, Honduras, he was 73 years old. Ricardo is preceded in death by his father, Bishara Kawas, mother, Emily Kawas, as well as Edward Kawas, and Mary Kawas Sanford. He is Survived by his wife, Sandra Kawas, daughter, Denise Kawas along with her husband Greg Peebles, and son, Rick Kawas along with his wife Milly Kawas. After earning his Bachelors of Business Administration, Ricardo enjoyed a long career in International banking in New Orleans, LA prior to retiring. He preached the Gospel and was a member at Grace Chapel Bible Church in El Paso, TX. Ricardo volunteered at the Goodnews Jail and Prison Ministries. He also preached the Gospel to inmates at Dona Ana County Detention Center. Friends and relatives are invited to attend funeral services on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Sala Evangelica Las Buenas Nuevas located at 600 New Orleans Hammond Hwy, New Orleans, LA 70124. Services will begin at 11:30am, with visitation from 11:00-11:30am till time of service. Interment to follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum, 5400 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124.
