Richard “Richie” William Prince was a successful business man with a passion for speed. He was a kind, generous and loving father who enjoyed traveling, racing and boiling seafood with his family and friends. Richie was always known to love vibrant colors as you see in his dump trucks and toys. Richie was always working on something: his trucks, boat, dragster and yellow pad bucket list. He accomplished many things he wanted from life and acquired numerous awards; including but not limited to numerous poker runs, car and bike shows, 2002 SBI World Championship, Gulf Coast Offshore GPS Competition, Mississippi Gulf Coast Shootout, 2008 Lake Havasu Gran Prix, 2013 Texas Outlaw Challenge and his most recent prized possession NHRA 2016 Dragster Championship. Richie will be missed dearly by his loving family, friends, dedicated employees and all who had the pleasure of crossing his path in life. Sincere thanks to all of our out-of-state friends, family and local friends and well wishers that have been so compassionate and generous. We are truly blessed. Shine on Richie! Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until service time.
