I remember/one summer afternoon when we lived off of sycamore street, me, Johnny, Diane and Laurie were in the kitchen and I asked you what are we having for dinner and you exclaimed: "TACOS!" I noticed you frying the Tortilla's, Laurie chipping lettuce, johnny and Diana slicing tomatoes and me slicing cheese... I loved that day. Every time I walk into a taco bell I always remember you and that day... The smell of it all... You gave me many memories. Thank you. I love you.

I have known Bobbie and Laurie since the 1960's.  Bobbie was a kind., gentle man who took wonderful care of his family.  The warmth he exuded was his hallmark.  When me and my husband visited, we also enjoyed his cooking and energy.  Memories of the fun we had together and his similarity to my husband, who predeceased him, warm my heart.  My love to Laurie and her daughter and her family.

Dad, I try not to think of you these days. If I don't, then you're still here. Nothing bad has happened... That is how I get along these days.  "I'm only as far away as the phone, son." Remember that? To me, you're still in new Orleans with Laurie and all I have to do is pick up the phone and dial you... But I don't want to... Cause I'll know you're really gone. I've been looking for a surrogate father... There's a really good man, a preacher, that I know you'll like. He sends me super insightful stuff to read... Remember the time you bought me the "Wilt Chamberlain basketball game?" You made a note of it and I saw your hand writing... I write just like you, large block letters... You sister Silvia said the same thing... I try to stay busy these days... I'll see you when my time comes. Heavenly Father says it won't be for a while though... I love all the pictures people are putting up...your son,

 Dad, so glad we were able to spend Father's day with you, we so enjoyed the weekend with you and gave  Mom a little break, the iternary was blood work that morning a pedicure and rice and beans as requested, it was a great day! Thank you, in those difficult times in my life you were there for support, you never judged me, you just loved me and reminded me, this too shall pass. I love you and miss you, your Son Jony

Personally I’ll never forget sitting in your kitchen and talking about life and politics. Your stories about growing up with a tough dad, your service in the military, or your time working for Scariano Brothers are all memorable. We loved having you come across the street to pop in or watch many Saints games. We thought you’d live forever. You will in our hearts. RIP 

We shared great times together with you and Laurie.
You were a great friend and mentor in the meat industry  and I thank you for that.

It's 1966 and I, my brother johnny and sister Diana are seated alongside each other watching "Batman. " as the them song plays I turn and observe my and mother sitting on the grey loveseat in our bare living room. My dad is hugging my Mom and I am ecstatic that I have my Daddy back. As the show ends, we get a piggy back to our bedroom. I
giggle as I'm laid down. A year later, we are driven to new Orleans by our grandparents and see my "papi" again. We arrive the day after my birthday (August 5th), and I meet "Laurie" for the first time. I like her. In the evening, "Batman" comes on again but thus time,  Dad is in no mood to watch it with us. He hurries us three (& Laurie) out as my grandparents start to watch Batman. I'm jealous of  my grandfather as he laid on my dad & Laurie's bed, his feet sprawled comfortably. We went down a staircase three floors down and about a block away we sat at a side walk cafe and had ice cream. That was a very  short visit.  A year (or two)/later,  Laurie takes I, Johnny and Diane on our first street car ride to French quarter. I see her put ten cents in for each of us... She takes us to cafe du monde and I have "powered doughnuts" for the first time. I love them. I ask for another but Laurie ignores me and says "we have to go now." I remember the look on her face. Nonetheless,  I want her to be my Mom...


Bobby, I will always remember the many dinners you bought for me and the family on your visits to Florida. You always explained “I owe you”, they were all in payment for getting out of a speeding ticket when you showed the officer my picture in a police uniform and exclaimed “this is my son-law. Your visits to Florida were always an adventure. Thanks for everything, much love. Rest In Peace!

Daddy, you were such an amazing and loving man. I'm so grateful to have had you in my life.  
I remember us getting lost on the wrong side of Delaware when we were driving from New York to New Orleans. I definitely inherited your sense of direction. There are so many memories and I cherish them all. I'll love you always.
