

Robert A. LeBlanc passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024 at the age of 82. He was a native of New Orleans and resident of Metairie for the past 56 years. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. During his time in the Air Force, he was a Golden Glove Boxing Champion. He graduated from Delgado Community College and had a career as an instrument technician. Robert was a member of Local 60 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. He retired in 2005 from M.S. Benbow and Associates. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a life-long Saints fan. Robert most enjoyed spending time with his children, attending grandchildren’s school events and dance revues. He will always be remembered by family and friends as kind, light-hearted and caring. After spending time with “Bob”, you always had a smile on your face. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew J. LeBlanc and Mathilde DeGiovanni LeBlanc; his sister, Jeanne Oliver; his in laws, Paul and Mary Onebene; and his sister-in-law, Frances Danna (Angelo). Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Grace Onebene LeBlanc; his loving children, Linda LeBlanc Couch and Robert J. LeBlanc (Stephanie); adoring grandchildren, Zoe and Haley Couch and Braeden, Emily and Amelia LeBlanc; and brother, Stanley LeBlanc (Janet). Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA on Monday, September 23, 2024. Visitation will be from 9:00AM until Mass begins at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Everyone is invited to attend a reception after the services.
