Robert Wayne Maureau

Robert Wayne Maureau passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the age of 74. He was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Delgado. He then went on to serve in the Marine Corps for seven years. He is survived by his loving wife Lydia Spreen Maureau. Caring father of Robert Wayne Maureau Jr. (Suellen) and Staci Maureau Hall (Robert). Devoted grandfather of Brandon, Mason and Sydney Hall and Madison Maureau. He is preceded in death by his parents, August Maureau and Ethel Fava Maureau. He was the brother of Patricia and Pamela Maureau. Robert lived life to the fullest, never passing an opportunity to travel with his wife and children, and in later years, his grandchildren. Robert had a passion for automobiles, he was a member of the Rolls Royce Owners Club, Model “A” Ford Club, Model “T” Ford Club, Early V8 Ford Club and Mercedes Benz Club. Robert was happiest when surrounded by his family. He will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 1PM.
