Roberto Camilo Prieto, Jr passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the age of 42. He was born in New Orleans to Mary L. Prieto and Roberto C. Prieto, Sr. Roberto worked with his parents at Prieto Income Tax Services in bookkeeping and tax preparation. He enjoyed sports; watching the Saints, Pelicans, soccer, NFL and college football. Roberto also enjoyed motorcycles and working on them and working with his hands. He is survived by his parents, Roberto C. Prieto, Sr and Mary L. Prieto; his daughter, Makayla J. Prieto; sisters, Irma “Abby” Browning (Dwayne) and Gigi Prieto; nephews, Stephen T. Collet (Perla), August and Ian Prieto; grand nieces, Iliani and Camila; and his wife, Shanelle Prieto. The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at University Medical Center, Ochsner, Touro and Passages Hospice for their excellent care and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Roberto at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA on Friday, August 30, 2024. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the memorial Mass begins at 12:00PM. Inurnment will be private for family only.
