Roland F. Mollere, Sr., co-owner of R & O's Restaurant in Bucktown passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Ora Dedebant Mollere for over 68 years. Son of the late Ulysses F. Mollere and Agnes Catanzaro Mollere. Father of Sherrill A. Mollere, Roland F. Mollere, Jr. (Michelle), Carla Mollere Flick (Allen), Ulysses (U.J.) J. Mollere, Sr. (Holly). Grandfather of Dominick (D.J.), NickE, Katje, Gretchen, Amanda, Roland III, Gina, Tina, Shelley, Ashley, U.J. Jr., Amber, Stella, and the late Alexis. Great-grandfather of Nicole, Vincent, Dominic, Elissa, Dylan, Jaelyn, Ashton, Sky, Cora, and Isabella. He is also survived by his sister Betty Mollere Schmaltz; and by many nieces, nephews and employees of R & O's Restaurant in Bucktown. Relatives and friends are invited to attend an evening visitation on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home with the visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
