Romola (Rae) Puissegur Mikulik was born in New Orleans, LA on March 21, 1928. Surrounded by her family she was called to be with the Lord on December 26, 2016. Born to Emile and Antoinette Puissegur, she lived in New Orleans her entire life. She attended McMain High School and later married Eugene F. Mikulik in 1947, who preceded her in death in 2010. She had three daughters who she was proud of and loved them all dearly: Debra Gautreaux (Jimmy), Cindy Zuppardo (Peter), and Sharon Duclaux (Sean). She leaves behind her grandchildren who have nothing but warm and cheerful memories of her; Christopher, Jamie and Ryan Gautreaux; Lauren Zuppardo Eagan (Jordan), Peter, and Matthew Zuppardo; and Caroline and Elizabeth Duclaux; her great grandchildren Jordan Jr., Henry, and Frances Eagan. She joins her grandson Anthony Zuppardo in heaven. Rae lost her mother at 15 years old while her father, Emile, lived well into her adult years. She adored and spoke of him frequently with such love throughout her life. She was a beautiful, blonde-haired woman who never left the house without make-up and dressed to perfection. She loved the ladies from her neighborhood, her clubs, and her dear childhood friend, Patsy Occhipinti, who visited Rae frequently until her last day. The family wishes to thank her devoted care givers Nicole, Cynthia, Sheila, and Tymeckia for giving her such outstanding, loving care. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
