Roy is survived by sons, Roy J. Bergeron, Jr. and John M. Bergeron; sister, Elsie B. White; brothers, David and Charles Bergeron and grandchildren Briana and Gage Bergeron, and daughter-in-law Misty Bergeron.
Roy served valiantly during Vietnam from January 12th, 1965 to January 12th, 1968. He earned a Master’s degree and became a Respiratory Therapist of which he was a member of the American Association of Respiratory Care.
Visitation will be Friday December 19th, 2014 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Ponchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, La. Funeral Mass will be at the funeral home at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Metairie Cemetery.
