Ruby Pritchett Brewster passed away peacefully in New Orleans, Louisiana, on May 12, 2015. She was born in Geneva, Alabama, on July 12, 1915. She was the widow of Dr. Hyder Ford Brewster and the mother of Terrell Wayne Brewster, Sr. (Diane) and Richard Ford Brewster, Sr. (Kitty), both deceased. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Elaine Brewster and her son Gary Hyder Brewster, Sr. (Cathy) as well as by thirteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She was a graduate of the University of Alabama and received her Master's Degree in Social Work from Tulane University. She was a member of the Orleans Club and the New Orleans Country Club. She will be remembered for the love she held for her friends, children, and grandchildren. A private graveside service attended by family and close friends was held on Thursday, May 28, 2015.
