Sandra L. Wood passed away on May 8, 2016, at age 70. She is survived by her husband, James Earl Wood; sister Catherine Markey Mendoza (James); brothers Daniel Louis Markey, Jr. (Dorothy); and James Michael Markey (Cynthia); she is also succeeded by a multitude of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews and her beloved canine companion Mandy. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents Daniel Louis Markey, Sr. and Yvonne Markey Schorr; and one sister Joan Ann Lund.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will be held beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time. Inurnment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
