

Scott Allen Gibson passed away at Ochsner Main Campus on Thursday, January 5, 2023. He was born at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie on August 15, 1976. Scott graduated from Alfred Bonnabel High School in 1996 and went on to build a 20+ year career in the plumbing industry. He was an alumnus of Bonnabel band and a member of the Lagniappe Team.
Anyone who knew Scott would tell you that he was pure of heart and would help anyone in need. He loved sports in all forms- football, baseball, volleyball, pool, darts, and bowling- but he had a special fondness for the New Orleans Saints. He also has a passion for fishing and loved watching funny videos.
He is survived by his parents, Allen and Patricia Walle Gibson; daughter, Isabella Rose Gibson; sister, Kimberly Gibson; godchild, Madalyn Colopy; ex-wife, Teri Walters; godparents, Carol Hebert (Murphy) and John Walle (Cindy); aunts and uncles, Loretta (Elmer, Joyce (Richard), Ann Michael (Theresa), Bobby, and Linda (Dennis); cousins, Chantel, Paula, Priscilla, Phil, Della, Ricky, Duane, Melissa, Jeanna, Theresa (TC), Amanda, Brandon, BJ, Jules, Theresa, Brandy, Alyssa, Michael (MJ), Calie, Cameron, Madison, Landen, and Gaven. He is also survived and deeply loved by Jackie Tamburello and his “step siblings” Jerry Colopy and Carol Lobell.
Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alphonse and Idel Walle and Henry and Lorraine Graffalo; aunt, Lorraine Prestenbach; uncle, Joseph Walle and Charles Walle; and cousin, Michael Neelley.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all friends and family members who have been a part of Scott’s life and made wonderful memories with them; as well as the staff at Ochsner for the care provided.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 1 PM. Visitation will begin at 11 AM. He will be laid to rest in Lake Lawn Park following the chapel ceremony.
