Sedonia Cusimano, 95, a resident of New Orleans, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. She was born on June 23, 1928 to Louis and Nicolena D’Amico Cusimano in New Orleans, the youngest girl of seven siblings. She lived her entire life in the New Orleans area, graduating from St. Mary’s Italian School and working for over 30 years as a telephone operator. She was a devout Catholic, her favorite Bible passage being the 23rd Psalm. She was an avid reader, being knowledgeable on a wide range of topics. Sedonia was predeceased by her parents, her sisters, Lena Segesta, Rosalie Piot, and Mary Cusimano, and brothers, Anthony, Vincent, and Lawrence Cusimano. She had no children, but was loved by her nieces and their families.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 1:00PM. The interment will follow the Mass in Metairie Cemetery.
