Shirley Retif Flick passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on October 10, 2015 at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert George Retif and Thelma Linden Retif. Shirley was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, and attended Nicholls High School and Newcomb College. Shirley was Treasurer of the family owned business, Auto Electric and Brake from 1967 - 2014. She enjoyed Mardi Gras and participating in carnival clubs, as well as classic cars and the many functions of the Antique Car Clubs. She held a great belief and respect for St. Jude, and strongly believed in his intercessions. Shirley is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Ronald A. Flick, Sr.; Son, Ronald A. Flick, Jr.; Daughter-in-law, Elizabeth W. Flick, and Granddaughter, Katie L. Flick. Shirley was a devoted and loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother, and will be very dearly missed by all who knew her. Services will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, October 17, 2015. Visitation is from 9 am - 12 noon with a mass to follow.
