Suzanne Melancon Montgomery

Suzanne M. Montgomery, age 83 years, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at her home in Mandeville, LA. Beloved wife of E. Clarke Montgomery for 62 years. Loving mother of Suzanne M. Fleming (the late Robert F. Fleming, Jr.), Michael G. Montgomery (Donna C. Montgomery), and the late Katherine A. Montgomery and E. Clarke “Skip” Montgomery, Jr. Grandmother of Matthew C. Fleming, William B. Fleming, David M. Fleming, and John G. Fleming. Sister of Gillis T. Melancon, Jr. (Mitzi B. Melancon). A native of New Orleans, and a longtime resident of Mandeville, Mrs. Montgomery was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a parishioner of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville. She was a graduate of Louise S. McGehee School for girls in New Orleans and Soule Business College. She also attended Newcomb College. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 1:00 PM.
