Theresa Terese Franssen

Theresa Terese Franssen, age 92, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 14, 1930 and entered into eternal rest on January 17, 2023. She was a Cake Decorator and Baker and was a parishioner of St. Anselm Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, cooking, dancing and playing bingo. Mrs. Franssen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years Jimmie W. Franssen Sr. and her former husband of 15 years Leo Lyncker; her parents Steve and Santina Terese; her son Jimmie W. Franssen Jr.; her sister Mary Koenig; her brothers Steve Jr., Emile, Joseph and Salvadore Terese and her grandchildren Alexa Mussall and Amielyn Melancon. Mrs. Franssen is survived by her loving children: Theresa Lyncker, Elizabeth “Liz” Lyncker (Joe), Lynn Cortez (Gene), Kathy Sumrall (Mark), Harry L. Arnold III (Jocelyn), Angie Adolph (Melvin), Tiffany Bell (Mark), and Stefanie Abdo (Ernesto); her brothers Raymond Terese and Anthony Terese. Also survived by 22 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living Interim Hospice for all their care and support. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, La. on Thursday January 26, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. with Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
