

He will be remembered by his loving wife of 53 years, Carolann Zibilich Morovich; children: Cheryl A. Morovich and Thomas G. Morovich Jr.; grandchildren: Caitlyn M. Jones (Justin), Maxwell T. Morovich (Lauren) and Lauren E. Pelas; great-grandchildren: Jordan Jones, Jaclyn Jones and Luka Morovich ; as well as numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; Tomo and Franka Lovich Morovich, and sister Frances Morovich Petrovich.
Tom was a pillar in his community of Plaquemines Parish. He operated his family restaurant “Tom’s Place”, of Empire, Louisiana until hurricane Katrina in 2005, when he relocated and retired to Walker, Louisiana.
Tom will always be remembered as the easy going, fun loving, family man who never met a stranger. He was an avid LSU and Saints sports fan. He also was a former member of the Croatian American Society, Slovenian Benevolent Association, and Masonic Lodge.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Gentiva Hospice for their care and compassion.

A visitation for Thomas will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124. Following the visitation will be an interment at Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124.
