Thomas Tommy E. O'Neill

Beloved husband of the late JoAnn K. O’Neill.

Thomas was born on December 23, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri to his late parents Eugene and Celeste R. O’Neill. He was a resident of Metairie for 64 years.

Tommy is survived by his children Joseph T. O’Neill, Susan O’Neill-Good (Earnest), and Paul E. O’Neill (Rochelle); grandchildren Christopher (Desiree), Megan, Hannah, Devontae, Alexus, Marissa, and John; great-grandchildren Gavin, Brayden, and Olivia; siblings James H. (Vera), John R. (Donna), Daniel E. (Nancy), Mary C. O’Neill; godchild Lisa O’Neill and many nieces and great-nieces.

Tommy was considered a father to many especially Mary, Baltizar, Lori, and Jaime as well as a grandfather to Trint. The O’Neill home throughout the years was always open to everyone.

A special thank you goes out to Dawn Mumphrey an aide beyond aides. Tommy enjoyed his weekly sessions with you.

Tommy graduated from De LaSalle High School in 1959 and went on to retire from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of numerous players clubs in Las Vegas.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00am. Visitation will begin at 9:00am until service time. Interment will be private.
