There is now such a void in this world with Tonja's passing. She was one of the most loving spirited people I have ever known. She introduced me to New Orleans, made me love my job even more, and always made me smile! I know your sadness is great but her spirit will remain in our hearts and memories forever!

Tonja was very special and enjoyable to be around and to work with. Our prayers go out to her and all of you in her extended family. So sorry to hear this sad news.  Tonja and I were friends through the drama club at Brother Martin where she was our talented choreographer as well an entertaining  actress/dancer (playing Susan in Finian's Rainbow) - and a fun and full-of-life friend.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. I hope she's dancing in heaven now.

My heart is broken. Tonja was a spark that came into my life at a time when I was searching for my path. We laughed, we loved, we lived every day like it was a gift. She was strong, gentle, fierce and tender. I loved how she always spoke her mind but with grace. I learned how to do that from her and I'm grateful. 
I will remember your smile, your laughter, your style. We lost touch when I moved to Texas and it will forever be a regret. But, I'll keep my  memory of her in my heart and help her many friends and family in any way I can. In the arms of the angels, may you find comfort there. Peace be with you Tonja, peace be with you.
