

Tyronne Anthony Larkins, Sr., a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, died on November 22, 2023, at the age of 74, after a brief battle with cancer. He was a father, grandfather, and brother who will be dearly missed. He enjoyed early morning jogs, long road trips, journaling, and New Orleans Saints football. As a
longtime transit operator for the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA), he met countless transit riders from all walks of life. He retired after 30 years and remained a member of the Regional Transit Authority Union. Prior to working for the RTA, he was employed by American Standard for many years. He was also a graduate of G. W. Carver Senior High School in New Orleans. He is survived by his son, Ty Larkins (Amanda) of Baton Rouge, and his daughter, India Larkins Crockem (Robert) of Fort Worth, Texas. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Sydnie and Lauren Larkins of Baton Rouge, and Ayssia, Myles, and Christian Crockem of Fort Worth, Texas, and by his brothers Johnny Larkins, Jr. (Kateri) of Harvey, Broderick Larkins (Deborah) of Marrero, Roderick Larkins of Slidell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Hirsch Larkins and Johnny Larkins, Sr., sister Shelley Larkins, and sister-in-law Jacqueline Larkins. Services were held at Lake Lawn Metairie
Funeral Home followed by entombment at Lake Lawn Park and Mausoleum.
