

Vincent Charles Licata, Jr. passed away surrounded by family on Friday, March 6, 2015 at the age 77. Son of the late Vincent Charles Licata, Sr. and Josephine DiGiovanni Licata. Brother of late Catherine Licata Kraft and the late August Joseph Licata. Vincent is survived by his children Vincent, Joe, and Nick (Lindsay); Loved as Pa-Poo by his grandchildren Vince and Drew. Vincent was much more than a father and grandfather. He was a loyal and caring Uncle BB to his nieces and their children; Marcy Kraft Miller, Kathy Kraft Deason, Nikole Clark Flax, Justin Clark, Marc, Catherine, and Jimy Deason, Chloe, Mason, Easton and Kai. He treasured his relationships with his family and countless friends.
Vincent owned the restaurant Licata’s for 15 years. He had a passion for making his customers feel like they were at home. His true love was nature and he spent most of his time outdoors at Pine Island with his sidekick Big Mama. The alligators of Louisiana are now breathing a collective sigh of relief. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. They truly don’t make them like him anymore.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA, on Tuesday March 10, 2015 at 12:00 PM. Friends may visit from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the funeral home Interment in Metairie Cemetery.
