Dr. Warren Perkins, Sr. passed away Friday September 12th, 2014 at the age of 92. An accomplished athlete, he was an Army veteran who served in WWII, and practiced podiatry in New Orleans for over 50 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Audrey Johnston Perkins, his four children, Dianne Butler, Warren Jr. (Barbara), Robert, and Joanne DeMoss (David), as well as his ten grandchildren: Kelly Jean, Leigh, Ashley, Elizabeth, Adam, Kate, Jason, Casey, Alexandra, and Jacob, and seven great-grandsons. He is predeceased by his mother Ethel, his father Joseph, and his brothers Benny and Bobby. Services will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Friday September 19, 2014, with a wake from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by Mass at 1:00 pm in the chapel. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Warren’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project, or charity of your choice.
