William Wilkins Kearney

William Wilkins Kearney passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016 at the age of 41 years old. Wilkins was the beloved husband of Lilla Wright Kearney. He is survived by his mother and father Susu and Mike Kearney, his brothers Michael Kearney and David Kearney (Caroline), his sister Niquette Kearney, and his mother and father in-law Betty Lynn and Kendall Wright. Wilkins is also survived by his nieces Leah and Laine Kearney, his nephew Patrick Kearney, his Uncle Bill Kearney, his cousins Bill Kearney IV (Karyn) and Clay Kearney (Malise), and his cousins Lanier and Lauren Kearney. Wilkins was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, a city he loved dearly. He graduated from St. Georges Episcopal School and then Isidore Newman High School. He then graduated from the University of Georgia where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. At the time of his death, he was employed by Coldwell Banker Commercial Realty and The Kearney Companies, Inc. Wilkins was a dedicated member of Trinity Episcopal Church where he served as an Usher. Wilkins was known by many for his unwavering loyalty, his gentle kindness and his long lasting dedication to his special group of lifelong friends and to his family. Wilkins will be dearly missed by so many for these endearing qualities. Family and friends are encouraged to attend a visitation on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Trinity Episcopal Church. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM.
