Yola Anna Pertuit passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at the age of 96. She was predeceased by her parents, Yola Poche Spragins and Harry C. Spragins; her first husband, Clarence S. Adams; her second husband, James R. Pertuit; and her companion of 20 years, Edwin Moise. She is survived by her only child, Linda Suzanne Adams Jaubert (Jack); her three granddaughters, Patricia Burke Zvonek (John), Elizabeth Paige Burke, and Katherine Burke Flohr (Wilson); and her five great-grandchildren, Jack and Caroline Zvonek, Amelia Burke, and Wilson and Harrison Flohr. She was a native New Orleanian, a descendant of one of the founders of New Orleans, and a proud graduate of Eleanor McMain High School. Never idle, she worked for many years in a variety of fields including radio and television, property management, and sales. She was an avid bridge player, an accomplished artist, and had a lifelong passion for music and dancing. Yola was a past president of the New Orleans Art Association and Les Dames de Timberlane and was a member of both the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Society of the Founders of the City of New Orleans. She also served on many committees at Lambeth House, where she happily spent the last six years of her life in the independent living wing. She was a tiny spry lady with an enormous zest for life, always impeccably groomed and coiffed. She loved her dear friends, adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was particularly close to her many cousins.
Due to the current circumstances, the family will arrange a memorial service at a later date.
