They made their long-awaited return to Florida in 2008 to join their son, daughter in-law, and grandchildren in the Tampa Bay area. In addition to spending time with her
Allene loved watching the cooking shows and then experimenting with recipes in the kitchen adding “her own twist”. When she finally sat down, it was to feed her addiction to Sudoku, completing dozens of puzzles a week. Allene was a member of Lakeview Community Church in Tarpon Springs, FL.

Slater of New Port Richey, FL; brother, Frederick Roth of Jacksonville, FL; son, Daryl (Liz) Slater of Tarpon Springs, FL; 2 grandchildren (Isabel & Alexander); and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends.
