August 6, 1953- May 7, 2025
Angela Maria Fricano Burke was lovingly known as Angel, Angie, Mom, Aunt, Nonna and Great Nana Nana. Angela was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in May 2023. After fighting a courageous battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully in her home on May 7, 2025 surrounded by her beloved family. Angela truly earned her angel wings far too soon at 71 years old.
Angela was born August 6, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York. Angela and her brother, Peter were raised in Glendale, New York by their devoted parents, Onofrio and Maria Fricano. Angela Attended Richmond Hill High School were she enjoyed twirling a baton and even learned to play the accordion. Later, she went on to study at Manhattan Community College and worked as a secretary in Manhattan, New York. During that time, she met the love of her life, Thomas Burke. They enjoyed dancing in the city and going to broadway shows. Angela and Thomas married and began their family in Queens, New York welcoming their first child in 1977. In 1978, they moved to Florida to begin a new chapter, where they raised their three children: Kimberly, Thomas, and Jennifer.
Angela was a devoted wife, mother, and nonna. Angela's life was centered around her family. She poured her heart into creating a warm and loving home. After several years as a stay-at-home mom, she and her husband, Tom co-founded The Printing Place, where Angela became not only the President but she was the driving force and heart of the business.
Angela had a brilliant personality with infectious laughter and a radiant smile; her endless generosity never stopped giving. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel special and cared for. Angela often went out of her way to ensure everyone had everything they needed and then some. Her presence was joyful and comforting and she had an unforgettable giggle. Angie had an unforgettable sense of style; she wore bright pink lipstick, elegant jewelry, a variety of hats, big sunglasses, high heels and wedges, and those were just a few of her trademarks. Angela also loved to cook, entertain, and share meals with family and friends (although she never thought there was enough food). Angie had a knack for creating cherished memories around the table that will never be forgotten.
Angie is survived by her brother, Peter Fricano; her three children; Kimberly Burke, Thomas P. Burke, wife(Rebecca Burke), and Jennifer Christiansen, husband (John Edvin Christiansen); Grandchildren: Jaiden, Edvin, Katerina, Owen, Brandon and her great-grandson, Oliver. Along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Angela was preceded in death by her husband Thomas A. Burke, Jr. and her parents Onofrio (Frank) and Maria Fricano.
Angela's love, strength, and warmth will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her. Her spirit will remain in every smile, every shared meal, and every joyful memory. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
