Carol J. Hansen, age 74, of New Port Richey, Florida passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Carol was born April 27, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois to George and Marjorie (Peterson) Mallen. Carol was a graduate of University of Michigan. She spent much of her time as a stay at home mom taking care of and spending time with her family. She was an animal lover and enjoyed playing cards and other games.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hansen. She is survived by her children, Sue Desiderio (John), Mike Hansen (Ev), Becky Smith (Rob); her brother, Dr. Robert Mallen (Judy); eight grandchildren, Sam, Mir, Bri, Erika, Paige, Olivia, Cassie and Hansen; her nephew, Steve Mallen (DeLynn) and her niece, Jenny Wampler (Eric).
A Celebration of Life service will be on Sunday, October 7, 2018, 2pm at Meadowlawn Funeral Home in New Port Richey, FL.
