He leaves his wife of 40 years, Claudia (Wozniak); daughter Cynthia of South Carolina; son Norman (Jessica) of New York; daughter Dawn (Darren) Moran of New York; grandchildren Torey, Rachel, Amanda, Collin, and Kaylee.
Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, to Walter and Dorothy (Heinen) Sandusky, moved to Hamburg, NY, as a young child, served in Vietnam in the Navy as a combat air crew member, eventually meeting Claudia and raising a family in North Collins.
He worked for Chevrolet Buffalo where he was a maintenance electrician until his retirement in October 1996. He enjoyed cruising his boat around Chautauqua Lake or just sitting and enjoying the scenery. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed snowmobiling.
Enjoying retirement, In 2003, he moved to Zephyrhills, FL, where he made many new friends with whom he could share a Genesee beer.
