Mom was born in Chicago and was one of seven children. Her parents Henry and Jeanne Sherman instilled a strong work ethic and were devoted parents to all of their family. Mom continued on this belief and love to family. She had a tremendously large and giving heart. She was generous with her time and resources throughout her life. She remarried, Karl Hoenerbach, and moved to Holiday Fl in 1989, to be near family and enjoy Florida’s warm winter weather. She never wanted to be cold again. She served as a caregiver for her both her mother and most recently her aging father for eight years. Mom was a strong woman who spoke frankly, a trait she inherited from her mother.
She worked as a court reporter, homemaker, and eventually retired from the business that she and her late husband created and managed, C&K tools. She went back to college and earned her BA in computer programing. She was extremely organized, intelligent and precise. She loved to spend time with family, travel, play cards, and board games. She also was an excellent cook. Watching movies relaxed her. She recently shared many fond memories that she had while growing up in Chicago. She loved riding horses and going to the park with her father, whom she deeply admired and loved. She is survived by her son, Greg, grandchildren; Ethan & Summer, siblings; David, Mark, Mary, & Adrienne. She is predeceased by her husband Karl, parents Henry & Jeanne, siblings Kenny & Annie. Mom had lived a full life and the life she wanted to. Her legacy of love and dedication for family lives on. I will always be grateful and thankful for my mother.
