She was born at home in Westwood, Kansas on March 8th 1931. She graduated from Shawnee Mission North High school in 1949. She was married to Robert (Bob) Husbands on February 14th 1948. Dee had a career at Kansas University Medical Center as a floor supervisor for 14 years before moving permanently to Florida in 1978. Dee had a passion for reading, gardening, and being with her family.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years Robert (Bob) Husbands.
She is survived by her children Shari (Rick) Harlan and Jeannie (Bill) Akins, Her grandchildren Robert (Yvonne) Butcher, Richie Harlan, Sherry Harlan, and Sally (Phillip) Cheyne, Her Great-grandchildren Gina Butcher and Serina Butcher, Anna, Gracie, Evan and Sophia Cheyne, Braden and Violet Harlan, Daisey, Sage and Ricoh Harlan. She is survived by a lifetime of extended family and friends, including Susan Crowder and Sabina Mcloughlin.
A Memorial service for Dee will be held on Saturday January 20th 2:00-4:00 pm at Club Wildwood 7700 Parkway Blvd Hudson Fl 34667.
