Frank Trubia passed away on May 11, 2023 at the young age of 58 after a courageous battle with cancer. Frank was born in New York, NY to the late Leonard and Eileen Trubia. He is survived by his two sons, two daughters, three granddaughters, grandson and four siblings.
Frank was a successful asphalt and paving contractor. He worked hard and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. Even in his final days, he could be seen enjoying his daily cup of coffee and his favorite New York-style pizza. Frank was known to take in stray dogs and enjoyed encounters with alligators. Above all, Frank was dedicated to his family. As a single father, Frank taught his children to be resourceful and independent, and also to have fun. He shared his vast knowledge of mechanics and machinery with his sons and nurtured his youngest son’s talents in motorcross and BMX racing. He and his daughter enjoyed spending time on their jon boat and going to Disney Land. Frank also loved being a grandfather and never failed to share photos and videos of the fun he shared with them, like the images of his granddaughter flying by on the homemade zipline he constructed for her. Frank was always willing to lend a helping hand to his siblings in their own business ventures, and he maintained warm relationships with his ex-wives, one of whom lovingly helped care for him throughout his fight with cancer. Frank touched the lives of all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
A memorial service for Frank will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652.
